Washington, D.C. – Tom Kiral, president of S&T Insurance Group, LLC, of Indiana, Pennsylvania, was recently elected to serve on the American Bankers Insurance Association’s board of directors at the ABA’s annual conference held in Washington, D.C. “We are very pleased to have Tom as an ABIA board member,” said Valerie Barton, executive director, ABIA. “His leadership and experience in the bank-insurance area will be a great asset to ABIA and its membership.” “ABIA continues to serve as the leading advocate for banks offering insurance products and services,” added Kiral. “I am honored to serve on the board of directors for an organization that is well regarded by lawmakers and regulators, and most importantly, its membership.” Kiral is currently president of S&T Insurance Group, a division of S&T Bancorp, Inc. He joined S&T Bank in 2001. In addition to his position at S&T Insurance Group, Kiral serves as first vice chairman of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has previously chaired the Indiana County United Way Campaign. He received a BA in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and lives in Indiana with his wife and two children. ABIA’s mission is to develop policy and provide advocacy for banks in insurance and support bank-insurance operations through research, education, compliance assistance and peer-group opportunities.
